About Black Market Eggs

The Henitentiary ladies are a healthy happy backyard flock of many breeds. They reside in Union Bridge, Maryland just outside of New Windsor. They are are a cage free flock and are kept safely in their coop at night.

Black Market Eggs is in Union Bridge Maryland and is not a big money making endeavor, it’s the overflow of the eggs we just cant consume ourselves. We hope to recoup (no pun intended) a few of our chicken costs and share our love of farm fresh eggs with our local community. Like most people with chickens we started small just a few ladies but chicken math is real y’all and now we just have more eggs then a family of three can eat all on our own.

We have chosen our breeds of chickens based on how they look with a special affinity to rare breeds, then on egg production but still we often have too many eggs. A person can only make and eat so many quiche.
